The burden for the manager and the person being fired. There is no other option we have to fire them because otherwise we lose the respect of the team and deprive people who cannot cope with working in our company the opportunity to find a more suitable place where they will be better off. Competent people with whom you share common values There is usually no problem making a decision here either. Such people are first in line for a raise promotion etc. If you have more of them in your company you are doing it right. Take care of people who fit into this quadrant of the chart and try to make them teach others have good friends and colleagues on the team with whom they share values. Incompetent people with whom you share common values What if you have Phone Number List someone on your team who doesnt deliver but everyone likes him What if you really like that person too You ne to ask yourself two basic questions Is there anything I can do to help this person achieve positive results Can I do it quickly enough to make business sense If you answer them honestly you will probably come to the conclusion that it is not possible. Or that it can be done but it will cost you so much time and effort that it doesnt make much sense. It is worth considering whether to transfer such a person to another position. However if you have no vacancies you must fire the person. Its best if you can help the person find a new job especially something theyre good at if you can do it . for you to convey this information to your team especially if the culture in your organization does not allow you to part with someone you love regardless of whether he is doing his job properly or not.
